JSSPDA has consistently maintained an excellent recruitment record. The Diploma graduates of JSSPDA have been recruited by some of the world's leading corporate, besides leading Indian companies. A vibrant training and placement cell with a dedicated faculty in-charge along with a team is functioning to provide skills required to meet the entry requirements by the employers. Need based training programmes are being organized for the students of all departments in the area of skills required by the employers of different categories including industries, commercial establishments and other public sector organizations Making the students Industry-Ready by providing Training in the Latest Technologies and Soft Skills. This is done by organizing Workshops & Technical Lectures by calling Experts, Industrial Visits & Industrial Training at various industries in and around Mysore and Bangalore and Career Guidance Programs. These programs are conducted when the students are in Final Year.

Training & Placement cell also arranges campus placement drives by inviting potential employers to recruit the students of final year. Guidance will also be provided to the students during off-campus placements and industrial training.

Objectives of Training and Placement Cell:
  • Strong liaison with industries.
  • Approach industries for internship training and placement.
  • Training activities for soft skills and mock interview.
  • Create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them in Identifying their career goals.
  • Take feedback from industrial experts and provide inputs for curriculum.


Soft skill Training program:
The Training Programme which is being offered at the institutional level and being facilitated by the Training & Placement Cell is aimed at orienting the students with life skills. Career orientation is achieved by training the students on the skills needed for a career in the corporate through Training on the different dimensions of development of individuals. The students of all the departments get this benefit. Providing Placements by organizing the Campus Recruitment Programs is the second line of activity. The process starts when the students are in 5th Semester, i.e., in the months of September/October. Students are short-listed as per the Companies Requirements to help the HR Teams to complete the process in Campus Interviews quickly.
Value added activities:
Training & Placement is recognized for its ability to plan and implement value added programs such as the Personality development programs, Technology Training Programs and Bridge Courses in the areas of interest and requirements for the Industry. This adds to the credentials of the students and builds the quality of the engineering professionals from the college. Training and Placement cell is also providing necessary Pre-Placement Training for the pre-final year students in the form of Pre-Placement talks arranged by various industries / corporate, training from the seniors on nature of the written test being imparted and process of interview of different industries.

Training & Placement Cell provides inputs on career opportunities for higher studies and arranging industrial visits to students.Department wise personality development programmes and Self Defence programmes are conducted.In addition to the placement activities, the Cell involves in mentoring students for opportunities in higher education, entrepreneurship and internship.

The T & P cell organizes the following activities for students:
  • Aptitude Related Analytical Skills for enhancing analytical skills of students.
  • Soft skills are a quite essential qualification for professionals aspiring to move up the value chain especially attitude, communication and presentation.
  • Group Discussions are organized to promote skills of interaction in group and leadership styles. The company executives/ employers will be invited to share their valued expertise on various topics, workplace situations with our students, current trends and future scenario.
  • Mock Interview rounds will be conducted to build confidence and self esteem in students to perform with ease in front of panel members during campus placements.
  • Company Specific training programs will be conducted for all final year students on Aptitude related analytical skills, Group Discussion and Interview skills by Industry veterans just before the visit of MNCs.
  • Eminent management personalities are invited to conduct workshops on Personality Development, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Time management, Memory Management etc.
  • Participation of students in activities that provide them all round personal and professional growth will be promoted.
  • Thus T&P Cell will coordinate various activities/ organize programs such as Career Goal Setting/ Planning / Mock Interviews / Interviewing Techniques, Group Discussions, Case Studies, Resume Writing Referral, Professional Portfolio Development, Dressing Sense, Business Etiquette and Technology Management.
